I noticed this with the prior version, and again after the recent update. Easy least. I Have a 3rd den FireTv, and I have tried everything to get this app to work since it required the latest update to no avail. I have uninstalled and reinstalled countless times, force stopping, restarting.
The video will just never play. The buffering circle just spins until it brings me back to the menu. Any suggestions?
I am having this issues as well. I have not opened peacock in a while or downloader and have tried all the updates available on this page, but they all give me that result inside downloader. Tested today: Version 1. Version s 1. I just left mine on 1. Latest version works great on my 2nd gen box and 3rd gen pendant but the icon is grayed out. Nov 5th, Downloader App not functioning properly — loads papges, then error message.
Then looks like buffer overflow in URL. Found the Peacock URL on another page here and downloaded it fine. App works fine. Downloaded updated app for Peacock. But app icon shows as a grayed out envelope in list of Firestick apps. If I click on it everything works. Would prefer to have Peacock icon.
It only affects apps that store their icon in a certain way, so it seems that Peacock recently changed how their icon is stored. Thank you for the prompt response. Thanks again. Given that it only seems to affect apps outside of their store, I do not know if there are any additional problems a bug like this can create.
After updating, the thumbnail for the app is broken and appears as a broken link. App does work, however. Reinstalled and still no thumbnail. Fire TV 4K… audio issue skipping every few seconds. Does anyone have any fix for this? I have tried every version and they all have the same audio issue. Same problem for me,updated ti last version bit still skip audio. I tried also to change firestick setting,set 60htz refresh rate and best audio setting but nothing changed. Our firestick is hooked up through a receiver, but pausing it and then cycling power only on the tv seems to fix it until after the next commercial break.
My 68 year old husband and I 62 were able to follow these instructions and successfully update the Peacock app. We are not sophisticated users of electronic devices and yet we succeeded. It just had the generic app icon. I installed the December version including the update and put it on my second generation fire stick. Everything works fine until I start to play an episode of a show then it sends me back to the home screen.

Just loaded after firetv refused to play again without an update to peacock app. Picture quality seems a little low, but overall, I have picture, sound, and the two match, so it sounds like success.
I had and got the Update Needed. I uninstalled , installed to get the Peacock icon did not run it then installed and it ran without the message and icon stayed did not turn gray. I did go to apkpure and saw a newer Peacock version than but as long as is working, I will leave it for now. I did not notice any issues with the video resolution.
Still experiencing the sound synch issues. I was able to use the codes to get the proper Peacock logo finally installed properly. I had to resign in and the menu loads although it seems to take a lot of time to do it. A couple of times, I was able to get a live news feed. I tried to watch a program and got the preview without any issues but when I tried to access the actual show, I just got the spinning wheel and it just reverted back to the previous screen.
